Our government client is seeking an experienced APS 4 Executive Assistant to assist the Branch, and the Executive Director with administrative support.
 
If you are an Executive Assistant who enjoys variety, multi-tasking and being busy so your day flies by then this organisation is wanting to hear from you.  You will be required to undertake coordination requests, diary management, and some financial management.
 
Key responsibilities
  • Providing confidential, high level administrative support to the Executive Director
  • Preparation of correspondence, briefing material, minute taking, agenda and presentation material
  • Scheduling appointments and diary management
  • Organising travel arrangements
  • Managing incoming phone calls and emails and follow up with any actions
  • Coordinating work within the Branch to make sure all action items are completed on time and to the level required
  • Credit card acquittals, travel allowance reconciliations and invoice payments
Your background
  • Previous demonstrated experience in a similar Executive Assistant role
  • Strong organisational/ coordination skills
  • Strong diary management and scheduling
  • Ability to work independently
  • A high level of initiative and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced challenging environment
  • High level written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • The ability to work under pressure  
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities
Mandatory requirements
  • You must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible to apply; and
  • Hold an existing NV 1 security clearance
