PS 4/5 - Business Analyst

  • Must have at least five (5) years as a business analyst
Our government client is seeking an experienced APS 4/5 Business Analyst who has experience in working in agile projects, delivery of business analysis artefacts, tools and techniques and working within a development team. The successful candidate will commence in October on a twelve month contract with the possibility for extensions of up to a maximum of 36 months.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Elicit business requirements, functional and non-functional, stakeholder analysis and transition requirements
  • Develop and assist with product backlogs such as research, theme/epics, user stories, business process modelling, business rules, data definition and acceptance criteria
  • Work with product owner/s, Project Manager, ScrumMaster, developer, testers and architects
  • Develop or refine personas, user journeys, user stories and other product backlogs
  • Facilitate workshops, work in agile (SRUM) projects and develop UAT scenarios.
Your Background:
  • You must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible to apply
  • Ability to obtain or hold a current NV 2 security clearance
  • Must have at least five years’ experience as a business analyst
  • Tertiary qualification in IT and/or business analysis certifications
  • Proven experience in working in agile projects and with a development team
  • Delivery of business analysis artefacts, tools and techniques and analysing the right problem set
  • Experience in application development lifecycle processes using agile methodologies
  • Ability to work as a team member and contribute positively to the work of the team
