APS 5/6 Senior Project Officer
  • Initial 3 month contract with possibility of extension
  • Baseline Security Clearance - Desirable
  • Legal or Policy background - Desirable
 
Our Government client is seeking the right candidate to help manage existing funding agreements and assist with managing relationships with contracted service providers. 
 
This role would suit candidates who have a public policy or legal background or perhaps a Uni graduate with a law degree who is looking to get a start in the Public Service.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Assisting with the contract management of external service providers including service delivery
  • Assessing and processing milestone reports and deliverables in accordance with funding agreement/s
  • Reviewing project budgets
  • Undertaking risk analysis and providing advice and briefs in response to emerging and existing issues
  • Assessing final reports and undertaking acquittal of expenditure
  • Establishing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhering to current legislation, policies, procedures and work guides for effective operation
