Rubicor Technical are recruiting on behalf of our client, a PNG market leader in the building sector working across in commercial, industrial, government and mining projects.
 
We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to provide support to a team of Project Managers, Site Managers and Operations Managers to deliver various construction project objectives and ensure compliance with our clients internal management systems.  Projects range from refurbishments, specialist builds, bridges and minor works.
 
Key focuses of the role:
  • Assist Project Teams in interpretation of contractual obligations and provide expertise on contractual issues.
  • Assist with negotiation of contract variations and claims in line with agreed contractual mechanisms.
  • Prepare or assist Project Team in the preparation and recording of documents produced to monitor contract notices, variations, and certificates for the contract records.
  • Prepare and Coordinate Payment Claims
  • Integrate Project Variations with cost and time implications.
  • Create and maintain project contract registers/spread sheets, and monitor securities and insurances.
  • Attend project progress meetings.
  • Read and understand technical drawings
  • Comply with the requirements of company safe work practices and procedures.
 
To be considered for the role you will:
  • Have 3+ years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator.
  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification or vocational training.
The role will be based in Lae, Papua New Guinea. Experience in PNG or a similar environment is not expected, but a commitment to relocate will be required. This is a residential role not FIFO. Family accommodation will be provided along with expected insurances and flights home. Time on site(s) may be required and accommodation (camp or other) will be provided accordingly.
