The Customer Service Consultant is responsible for providing a range of solutions to our client’s customers, including problem-solving, investigations and general information.  The consultant must record all incoming (via phone) enquiries and the outcomes using the client’s state-of-the-art information systems.

As our client is a 24/7 operation, the Customer Service Consultant role is based on a rotational roster: Core hours are from 0800 to 1700. Shifts start from 0800, 0830 or 0900.  Overtime is sometimes required depending on workload. The consultant may, from time to time, be asked to work the on-call roster, which runs from 1700 to 0800.

Preferred competencies:
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, tight deadline, high-pressure environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to use information systems and customer databases
Experience required:
  • At least 2 years previous customer service experience in a similar role
  • Experience working as part of an inbound contact centre team
  • Excellent oral communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve complex issues to completion
Mandatory requirements:
  • Australian Citizenship
  • NV2 Clearance
