EL 1 Procurement Legal Contracts
  • Existing APS employees for S26 Transfer only
  • 12 month contract with possible extension
  • Baseline Security Clearance Essential
Our government client is seeking an experienced EL 1 Procurement/Legal Contract Specialist with demonstrated experience in project management, legal contracts and drafting & managing lease arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Project relating to the airport leasing strategy, which includes various airports (international) across Australia
  • Management of all functions associated with the Strategy
  • Liaison with key stakeholders within the Department and externally, including at the SES and equivalent level.
  • Strong decision-making and a high level of judgement
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Preparing written documentation such as Minutes, correspondence and submissions
  • Attend key meetings, both internally and interstate
  • Researching, interpreting and applying relevant legislation, including maintaining knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Making contributions to changes in workplace practices and to business improvement
  • Management of lease negotiation arrangements for all relevant international airports, including drafting of lease agreement in consultation with the Legal Division
  • Interstate travel to airports
  • Ability to work under pressure, with multiple timelines, whilst dealing with multiple stakeholders
Your background:
  • Baseline Security Clearance – essential
  • Demonstrated procurement experience within the APS
  • Experience drafting and managing lease arrangements
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or manage a small team
  • Exceptional administrative and organisational skills
  • Well developed negotiation skills
  • Effective team member
