About The Role:
  • Undertake assessments of native vegetation and  environment applications and prepare reports and correspondence in accord with legislation requirements.
  • - Undertake inspections of various activities and check for compliance with legislative requirements.
  • - Assist with incident and compliance investigations as required.
  • - Assist in drafting guidance material for industry and other stakeholders.
  • - Liaise with stakeholders and provide timely and quality advice on technical matters.
  • - Assist in preparation of ministerials and response to parliamentary questions as required.
 Capabilities
  • - Commits to meeting objectives, identifies and implements appropriate risk strategies and follows up to finalise work.
  • - Identifies and initiates effective and productive engagement and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • - Prepares reports on analytical research and/or investigations.
  • - Understands and communicates the reasons for decisions to others.
 Skills, Knowledge or Experience 
  • A Bachelor of Science, Environmental Science, Natural Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate 
  • 4WD Driving Course 
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in environmental management to enable assessment of environmental aspects and risks associated with native vegetation OR Mining.
