Rubicor Technical Ltd are recruiting, on behalf of our client, an HR Manager to work at a mine in central NSW. The role is residential and will require you to live in the community, for which housing is provided.
 
This role is best suited to an HR Superintendent looking to step up or an HR Manager looking to broaden their expertise. A strong emphasis on this role will be coaching, leadership development, organisational design and implementing HR support systems. Being the HR leader on site you will need to be a strong communicator and have the drive / motivation to be planning for the future.
 
Key functions of the role:
  • Develop leadership and supervisory skills training programs
  • Maintain a staff succession plan that guides training and recruitment decisions for key staff
  • Provide leadership on Human Resource matters across the operations
  • Design the operating department organisations so they are effective and consistent with Company people management strategy.
  • Supervision of the employee hiring function to ensure processes are efficient and selection criteria appropriate.
  • Maintain overall control of the Human Resource department budget.
  • Management of any employee disputes that result in legal action.
 
About you:
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in an HR related discipline
  • 5+ years HR experience in mining or heavy industry
  • Self starter / self motivated.
  • Great communicator.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Long term planner.
