A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to work with a well-known, national construction company within their pre-contracts team in Sydney.
About you
Since graduating with a Bachelor of engineering (Civil) or equivalent, you have had over ten (10) years' delivery experience, 5 year's within a PM position with exposure to RMS.
You have experience in managing hard dollar and/or alliance model projects from $50m to $200m in project value and enjoy a challenge. You will be a driven professional with a proven ability to deliver.
You will be an experienced leader, with an excellent written and verbal communication style with a bias to proactively mentor others to achieve project deliverables and continue to foster a strong team culture.
With a high attention to detail, specifically, experience formulating and preparing contractual claims and variations, you are an expert in head and subcontract agreements. Partnered with an ability to develop and implement budgets and forecasts.

About the role
  • Managing projects for $50m to $200m in value including developing and reviewing the construction plan and monitor progress to ensure they on schedule and within quality and cost estimates.
  • Authorise construction planning, programming and on site completion schedules and liaise with the Construction/Operations Manager/Superintendent over completion dates for difference phases of construction.
  • Monitor obligations imposed by performance specifications.
  • Identify cost abnormal risks in tender documents.
  • Formulate/prepare major contractual claims.
  • Resolve on site IR issues and refer major IR issues to Human Resources and Construction/Operations Manager as required. Implement actions as identified within the WRMP.
  • Liaise with consultants in regards to project design plans and variations.
  • Liaise with Construction/Operations Manager to modify design in construction system and methods necessitated by the progress of construction.
  • Establish and communicate production control systems and ensure the information is provided back to the Estimating Manager.
  • Identify, assess, control and close out identified project risks and report to senior management.
  • Identify the need for and participate in the development and review of Risk Assessments, SWMS’s and THRC’s.
  • Supervise and schedule the activities of Engineers, Supervisors and Administrators
  • Achieve by self or through others control programming, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration, general site administration and the activities of contractors.
  • Preparation of project budgets.
  • Implement critical incident management as required.
