My client, a leading global IB is currently seeking an experienced Application Support professional to join their team in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Head of Trading Support you will be responsible for supporting all Equity IT systems in the front office as well as: 


Responsibilities 
  • Regional day-to-day support activities to ensure all reported issues are resolved by working closely with traders & vendors, monitoring, health checks, testing, implementation etc. 
  • Ensure the safe operation of all trading systems - Fidessa, ULB, HK Exchange connectivity, Algo and FIX connectivity 
  • Work with the first level application teams to provide production system support
  • Liaise with regional IT teams to analyse and follow up on all technical / business issues
  • Coordinate with Business and Tech teams on issue follow-up and agree on priorities and schedules
  • Update project status and supporting documents regularly in Sharepoint
  • Coordinate with Exchange on different projects and meet compliance requirements by attending market rehearsals

Requirements
  • University Degree in Computer Science or related with min. 6 years working experience in Investment Banking or Securities Trading industry
  • In-depth exposure to development and support of Equities Trading Applications, Electronic Exchange connectivity, FIX client connectivity, FIX messaging protocol, DMA and Algo trading
  • Solid technical knowledge on supporting Fidessa, ULB, FIX, Algo and market data are required
  • Strong market knowledge for Equity Cash Trading, an understanding on different order flow,  market rules on HK Stock Exchange and China Connect 
  • Good knowledge and skills on Windows, UNIX, Linux, Sybase, Oracle database
  • Excellent command of English, good communication, thick skinned with high level of interpersonal skills
