Job Description

User Researcher (Agile)
 
  • 8 month contract
  • Baseline Security clearance required
  • Mid-April start
 
Our government client requires the services of an experienced User Researcher to lead a number of user research projects including digital transformation initiatives.
 
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team conducting research with service users and working collaboratively with stakeholders.
 
Your responsibilities:
  • Conduct user research and evaluating user feedback
  • Performing usability testing
  • Lead a number of user research projects including digital transformation initiatives
  • Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Creating storyboards, process and user flows, wireframes and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Conceptualise ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions
  • Train staff in UX/UCD principles
 
Your background and experience
  • Australian Citizenship is a requirement for the position
  • Baseline Security Clearance Required - Employer can sponsor if necessary
  • Current Police Check required
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • User Centred Design and Research Skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing User Centred Design frameworks including guidance material
  • Ability to grasp complex ideas with little assistance
  • Experience with the following: Ethnographics research, interviews, personas, user stories, Journey Maps, Card Sorting, Prototyping, wireframing and workshops
  • Experience using agile software development practices would be an asset
  • Agile software development practices
