Job Description

VIP Service Desk Consultant
  • Immediate start / Full time, fixed term – 12 month contract
  • Roster based work – shifts between 7am and 7pm
  • Mandatory current NV1 clearance
Our client is keen to engage a service desk consultant to be the prime point of contact for managing enquiries and requests within a call centre environment.
Primarily you will be required to take ownership of customer enquiries, requests and issues and taking them to resolution status using internal tools and operating procedures. You will also be responsible for providing high end customer support.

The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:
  • Demonstrated customer service experience in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to assimilate to new technology, procedures and products
  • Articulate and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a thorough understanding of SharePoint
  • A high level of personal motivation and a strong commitment to learning and improvement
  • Taps into key relationships within the team to deliver results

Key responsibilities:
  • Handling inbound and outbound calls, action all tickets (INM, SRF and CHT), dispatch devices to customers and couriers, logistic work and add value to service improvement.
  • Managing all Service Assurance and requests/incidents
  • Delivering exceptional customer service by taking ownership of customer enquiries and requests, managing incidents through to successful resolution.
  • Demonstrating initiative and making decisions using ingenuity/experience to overcome problems
  • Coordinating with other work areas and 3rd party suppliers to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner
  • Recommending improvements in processes and procedures to support consistent best practice delivery of business outcomes
Your background:
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and hold an NV1 clearance
  • ICT qualification/ITIL certification/Degree in an Information Technology or Information Systems field is desirable
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and IT proficient
